The Research On Sheltered Tourism Development Of Industrial Heritage

Cities in China are in the middle and later parts of the industrial society and the primary phase of the post-industrialization. And this is an accelerating urbanization phase. During the course of the development of city construction, a lot of industrial heritage come out. But, in general opinion, the carry-over of the industrial times is ugly and polluted, so little importance is attached on the industrial heritage and many valuable heritages were destroyed. In fact, these industrial heritages contain abundant historical culture and artistic sight value and are worthy of protecting and reusing. Moreover, the absence of public greenbelt and cultural entertainment establishment also imply a different idea of industrial heritage's sheltered regeneration– the development of tourism of industrial heritage.Now, the research on the industrial heritage and tourism development is in the beginning phase in our country, and people's knowledge of the industrial heritage as well as its value is obscure. So, this article beginning with the connotation and value of the industrial heritage, analyzes the status quo and method of industrial heritage protecting and selects Shanghai Yangpu District as the demonstration research object, provides the principle and strategy of the development of industrial heritage tourism in this district.The content of this paper:The first, Defining the connotation of industrial heritage in theory and this is the base and stand of this paper. Based on summarizing the related domestic and international research production, combining the author's own opinion, comprehensively generalizes the concept and connotation of industrial heritage and industrial heritage tourism. This paper uses the word'industry'with a broad meaning, that is to say that it contains traditional handicraft and modern machinery industry. And the'industrial heritage'specified in this paper is in broad sense with universal value, but not limited to the particular industrial heritage with the special value of national and international class. The second, Deeply exhuming the value connotation of industrial heritage, this is the basal condition of protecting and reusing and the core of basal research of this paper.The third, Expatiating the status quo of the protecting of industrial heritage in China and introducing the relevant theory on industrial heritage protecting and deeply analysing the absence of the same in China.The fourth, Analysing the method of protecting and reusing of the industrial heritage, and mainly discussing the new idea of sheltered reusing– the development of industrial heritage tourism, this is the key chapter of this article. Introducing the concept and research summarization of industrial heritage tourism and deeply analysing its feasibility from industrial heritage itself to other related aspects such as policy, economy, geography, society, zoology, etc. Discussing the meaning of the development of industrial heritage tourism. Upon quoting the successful domestic and international case of protecting and reusing the industrial heritage, this article provides the model of tourism development.The fifth, Shanghai always attracts lots of tourists with the advantage of her particular modern urban sight, but neglects her urban details as an origin of China modern industry, especially that Yangpu District has abundant resource of industrial heritage as well as favourable geographical position and scientific research resource. Then, how to use these resources and develop industrial heritage tourism becomes the problem in the demonstration research that needs to be resolved.
