Effects Of Project Communication On Project Performance

With the department of the project management, more and more enterprises start to use the project team in the production. The project management no longer emphasis the single project, it' s not the simple manage process anymore. The project management, that means, is promoted to one idea that related with the enterprise strategic objective.The content of project communication is the information collecting, passing and communicating. In the practice, favorite communication can set up the good contractions among the team member, the team. Researching the project communication theoretically, thus, not only support the communication theory, but also sustain the project management practice.Firstly, based on the study of the foreign and domestic documents of relevant literatures, the project communication factors were abstracted and the project communication questionnaire was designed. This questionnaire took Likert Scale 5 to measure these indexes.Secondly, one small sample investigate were taken. The Emails which registered in the website of project management were used to send the project communication questionnaire and took back some data. The formal questionnaire was established after amending according the data. The formal sample was the MBA of Sichuan University. It researched the effects of project communication to project performance in this paper.The statistical analysis method, including Spearman correlation analysis; nonparametric tests, were used in the study. The correlation analysis was taken on three stratification levels. From the project communication gross index to the project communication factors, the research analyzed the relations between the project communication and project performance one by one. The analysis result indicated that extremely remarkable relevance existed between the project communication and the project performance, confirmed theoretically the project communication is very important to the project performance.Then we studied the difference of relations between communication factors and the project performance factors. It suggested the different communication factors had the different effects to the project performance factors. According to the relationship between project communication factors and project performance, some project communication suggestions had proposed.It can be learn from this paper, the method of this study offer a whole process, including the questionnaire designing, data statistic analyzing and getting the study results. This method would be used to the similar research. So the study has the academic significance.We attempt to find one kind of project communication pattern. It can propose some communication suggestions aiming at the question which appears in the process of project control. The project communication pattern will promote the project objectives realization. The conclusion has some significance to the project performance control.
