The Research Of International Engineering Management In Technip CNOOC Project

In general, 2008 is seemed as the year of the Olympic Games in China, by which the promotion effection taken to Chinese economy is more and more obvious.The construction material and petro-chemical products are urgent needed by national infrastructure, which bring the great chances to the global petro-chemical and chemical industry factories and also bring the great development in the international engineering fields.Facing today's petro-chemical and chemical industry engineering constructing, the projects sometimes are with the characters of capital and techenology denseness.It needs multilateral corporations and even countries together participate in the project management whole progress.As the project construction team members come from different zones and culture backgrounds, there is a big problem to interpersonal communicate with people,coordinate each aspect benefits,ensure the project constructing reposefully,orderly and healthfully develope.This is also the basement on which the research will spread .This paper is composed of six chapters:First chapter is the preface of this paper, which introduces the background information, explains the importance of the research, and outlines methods used for this research. Generally, the structure of this paper is presented as an overview in this part.In the second chapter, the research focuses on introducing the global engineering project management status; the general contract mode of EPC and its charaters, key factors which affect the performance of the management; One of the biggest engineering companies in Europe-Technip and its operation extent, enterprise culture and organization structure.These background knowledge provide a good basement on which the research will spread.In the third chapter, author describe the information of CNOOC address chosen,main investors, the project relative process set and utility functions as so on external background.Chapter 4, based on the Technip MPG/POLY process device civil practice in CNOOC project, the author brings forward the practical strategies of WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), CPM (Critical Path Method) and Poject Net Analysis, by which the project management will improve the working team internal operating efficiency, reduce the construction cost and promote the team performance ability;the personnel management strategy of interpersonal communication, by which the lead will reduce the negative influence of culture difference, improve the team amalgamation, create a harmonious working surrounding.Chapter 5, from international engineering experience, global resource conformity, interpersonal communication between the technology personnel and so on aspects, the author indicates the illumination to Chinese local engineering enterprise. By the research, the author has deep comprehension on the oversea engineering background, oneself enterprise culture and management procedures, interpersonal communication importance in Technip CNOOC project.The reference will be provided with the practical strategies of interpersonal communication and the WBS, CPM and Project Net Analysis to Chinese local engineering construction enterprises to help them develope their oversea engineering project management ability.
