Research On The Development Strategy Of CSCL

With the development of container transportation for more than 50 years , it has covered the long period of developing .In this period , the container transportation has become the main way of transporting cargo in marine transportation, and container transportation has been one of the most important link in the process of integrated transportation. So , we can see that the economic has linked with container transportation closely , the role of container transportation has been more and more important. But as some economic and social reason , the competition in the field of container transportation is very hot, and the container liner corporations are suffered by cost fees, facing many chances and problems . How to develop in such market is a problem every liner corporations are thinking aboutIn this article , we introduce the situation of container transportation market , including the history of the market ,the current situation ,the develop directions and so on . Following ,we analyze the out-in situation of CSCL and point out the advantage and disadvantage of CSCL . On the basis of world container transportation volume from 2000-2007 , we predict the volume from 2008-2012 , from the data we get the opinion that world container transportation will increase in future 5 years at least. And we use the SWOT method analyzing CSCL's strength,weakness,opportunity and threat , giving different suggestions to different situations . At last, we introduce the aim and measures of CSCL at present ,and give some constructive suggestions to CSCL . CSCL should order more vessels and render better services , develop integrated logistics and carry on risk management .Through the above mentioned analyzes , we hope these will render help to CSCL's further development.
