In joint development of commerce and rapid rail transit, commercial real estate will be built closely connecting to transit stations, which bring along large amount of travelers. From the travelers, commerce could make great profit, which in turn feed the investment of Rail Transit construction.The thesis demonstrates the rationality and inevitability of joint development by studying correlative theories of urban development. It illustrates the general modes of joint development in commercial and architectural view, and analyses the impacts caused by transfer system, commercial behavior and engineering technology of rapid rail transit.Concerning the unique characteristic and complexity of joint development, the theory of integrative design should be adopted, which aimed at combining not only the traffic system and commercial system, but also the joint developed structure and urban environment. From the aspects of function, room, traffic streamline and engineering technology, the thesis illustrates the methods of integrative design through analyzing certain examples. Finally, the thesis summarizes the status and trend of joint development in Shanghai, through studying several cases which also revealed the deficiencies, and bring forward pertinent proposals. |
