60 years had passed since the stated-owned farm established in 1949.The workers of stated-owned farm precipitated proper culture in working and living toghter.Relying on this culture,the residential space of stated-farm presented a living space of collectivity life-style and open intercourse place.From the year 1978,when the economic system started changing from planned economy to market economy,the ownership of residential in stated-owned farm shifted from state-owned to private.In this period,the updating of residential buildings was very slow.A large part of residential buildings which were constructed in 1960s to 1970s in Hubei province, were uninhabitable and had been in urgent need of updating.The first chapter mainly defines the objects and ranges of research.The second chapter analyzes the concept of residential morphology and the general situation of state-owned farm in Hubei province to select main casus.The third chapter analyzes residential morphology of state-owned newly-built farm from the view of culture, economy and technology,society policy and nature.And particularizes the space and culture characteristics of state-owned farm.Then the forth chapter takes the Zongkou state-owned farm in Hubei province for instance,based on the time of living space construction,analyzes the living space of market town and partial field.Sums up the characteristics of planning and external living space and street space from the evolution of different periods of time.The fifth chapter analyzes the casus in renovation and transformation of construction.In the updated living space,there are problems between original way of life with the residents and non-adaptive mode of production,as well as the cultural of fault.The development of residential morphology of State-owned farm must be continuity between the original methods and cultural context.According to the characteristics of life and production in State-owned farm,puts forwatd living space.The sixth chapter concludes the research of residential morphology in state-owned farm,and discusses futher study.
