Study On The Quality Management Status And Its Strategies Of FG Company

Quality is the basis of the company. The high-quality product is particularly important for the Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), because its core competence is reflected in the high-quality, low-cost and relatively fast speed of the technological innovation. However, the quality management level of the Chinese communications equipment manufacturers is not high. There is a substantial gap between the Chinese communications equipment manufacturers and the similar foreign companies. So, there is a realistic and long-term significance to focus the research on the quality management situation of the domestic telecommunications equipment manufacturers, finding out the root of the problems, and improving the quality management according to the specific conditions of the companies.In this paper, first there was a brief introduction to the stages of the development of quality management, the ideas and research findings, the quality management system standards and the Eight Principles of quality management. Some quality ideas and methods were implied in this paper, such as ISO9000 quality management standards, TS16949 quality management specification and Benchmarking etc. In the third chapter, the FG Company, a domestic communications equipment manufacturer, was chosen as the research subject. Then there was an introduction to the quality management system of the company, analyzed the present situation of its quality management system, found out the problems and its root causes. In the forth chapter, some measures and improving assumptions were taken according to the analysis of the problems of its quality management system:(1) how to optimize the company's quality management system structure; (2) strengthen the purchase quality management; (3) strengthen the manufacture process quality management; and (4) strengthen the quality personnel of the company.
