Evaluation Study On The Tourist Experience Quality In Fenghuang Historical City

China is an ancient country with splendid culture, and there still retains many characteristic historical cities, which take important part in the tourism industry in China. Since 1980s, the development of tourism in the historical cities has made great achievements, but at the same time, there existing some problems, such as the natural, historical and cultural environment in the historical cities, which is the basis of tourism industry, has been damaged at a certain extent, and the tourism products are indistinctive, etc. All these have an impactive influence on the tourist experience quality. Pursuiting of high-quality of tourist experience is the motivation that drives tourists to participate the tourism activities. What's more, tourist experience can also reflect the actual operation process of the travel destinations from products to services. Therefore, Study on the tourist experience in the historical cities has a great realistic significance to the tourism industry in China.The paper, relying on a large number of relevant documents and materials at home and abroad, elaborated the elements of tourist experience from the tourist environment, tourist activities and tourist service in the Fenghuang historical city. Then analysed the actual tourist experience by a sample survey and related statistical software. The following are the results of the research: Firstly, tourists put a high value on the tourist environment in the Fenghuang historical city, while tourist service got a relatively low assessment. Secondly, tourist experience in the Fenghuang historical city depends on the characteristics of its tourist resources, the protected status of tourist resources, the design and development of tourist activities, as well as the level of tourist service. Thirdly, tourists with different demographic characteristics have different tourist experience. Finally, tourists with different motivations, and travel forms and so on, such behavior characteristics can lead to significant difference in tourist experience. After that, the paper summarized the influence factors on the tourist experience in the Fenghuang historical city, and proposed some suggestions to improve the quality of tourist experience: Firstly, strengthen the protection of tourist enviorment, and maintain the view of the historical city. Secondly, exhaumate the connotation of the historical city, and create a good experienced atmosphere.Thirdly, enhance tourist service, and improve tourist satisfaction.The paper consists of four chapters. The introduction briefs the basic theories and concepts relevant to the subject. The second chapter elaborates the elements of tourism experience in the Fenghuang historical city. The third chapter investigates and analyses the actual tourist experience quality in the Fenghuang historical city. The last chapter summarizes the influence factors of tourist experience quality, and points out some recommendations and measures to improve the quality of tourist experience in the Fenghuang historical city.
