The Logistics Outsourcing Of Port Enterprise Under The Circumstance Of Supply Chain Management

Logistics outsourcing is becoming an important strategy for the development of port enterprises. Outsourcing has been adopted by many port enterprises to enlarge business and strengthen their core competences. Therefore it has become a new growing point in economy. How to carry on port enterprises outsourcing based on their particular characteristics and to choose ideal outsourcing contractor for port logistics should deserve major concern from port enterprises' managers. For those reasons stated above, a research on port enterprises logistics outsourcing is not only theoretically meaningful, but also an effort for port enterprises in making scientific outsourcing strategies. The thesis studies logistics outsourcing of port enterprises in the background of supply chain management. Based on the precious researches both home and abroad, the author of the thesis makes a thorough analysis of logistics outsourcing of port enterprises in supply chain management environment by knowledge in relevant subjects such as supply chain management, service outsourcing, game theory, etc. Firstly, it introduces basic theories, including defining the subject of logistics outsourcing and providing strategies for logistics outsourcing. Then, an analysis of outsourcing in the background of supply chain management is conducted. An index system by contractors is found based on Chinese port enterprises' characteristics, which solves the problem of leaning to qualitative index in evaluation system. Besides, an evaluation model of contractors is constructed using FAHP and TOPSIS, and the dilemma in making a balance between qualitative index and quantitative index is therefore solved. Lastly, the management of outsourcing contractors by port enterprises in the background of supply chain management is discussed. The relationship between port enterprises and outsourcing agencies is analyzed and presented in mode, which offers a conclusion that port enterprises should take the interest of outsourcing agencies into consideration rather than focusing on its own interest. Considering mutual benefit in business is the basis rule to avoid negative cooperation from agencies. Moreover, it is further discussed to conduct efficient management of agencies by port enterprises and therefore to benefit mutually in logistics outsourcing. It is sincerely hoped that the thesis could be a reference for port enterprises in developing logistics outsourcing strategies.
