The Research On The Influence Of Vegetable Standards To Our Vegetable Export Trade

In recent years, the increasing exports of vegetables perform an important function in keeping the balance of trade, driving the agriculture economy and increasing the income of farmers. However, with China's accession to the WTO and the economic globalization has been obviously paced up, the technological level has increasing become the key point to competition between nations. Because of the limitations of economic development and mode of production, The level of vegetables standardization of our country has a big gap compared with developed countries. They have set up a series of Trade Barriers ,such as technical standards, assess procedures,standards of packaging and label and so on.Great quantities of China's vegetables have been detained or destroyed just because failed to come up to these standards, and our country have suffered huge losses. Therefore, the vegetables standard system should be research and found as the most important method to break through the Trade Barriers and export more vegetables than our competitors. At the same time technologies is instrumental in improving the safety of vegetables.This paper studies on the influence between the vegetables standards and China′s vegetables exports. On the base of the oretical analysis, empirical analysis,cause analysis and ideal of counter measures, researching are as follows: Firstly, the dual influences of vegetables standards on China's vegetables exports was analyzed. Due to the exports of vegetables did not meet the requirements of the importing countries the export was shocked in short term, but it impelling the export enterprises rising to respond in medium and long-term,.Secondly, the current situation of vegetables trade of China and the impact of standards on vegetables exports was analyzed from the positive and negative effects. In addition, Gravity model was used to analyse the influence of the standard on Sino-Japanese vegetables trade.It concluded that the formulation and implementation of Japan vegetables standards had a negative impact on China's vegetables exports. but the development of China's vegetables standards did not play its positive role in promoting exports. Thirdly, the situation of China's vegetables standards was analyzed, on this basis, the reason was analysed from the formulation and implementation of vegetables standards system especially focused on the behavior of vegetables producers. Finally, some simple policies were put faoward in order to provide referential suggestions on China′s vegetables development.
