Application Study For Quality Management In Dpes Auto Parts Development Projects

It is recognized that there are two aspects to the application of quality management in projects; that of the project processes and that of the project's product. A failure to meet either of these dual aspects may have significant effects on the project's product, the project's customer and other interested parties, and the project organization. For a long term, the quality management theory and method on project's product are dramatically developed, however it urgently needs enhancement on the project process.Start with the current situation in DPES auto parts development project, there is a problem needs solution. Based on the analysis on DPES new product development procedure (PDP), the process flow for project initiate, project planning, project execution, project close-out and project monitoring are created respectively and the enterprise project management (EPM) are set up with the process approach and the systematic approach. As a solution to ensure the quality in project, DPES auto parts frame model integrated the PDP with EPM. At the initial stage of project launch, project objects are identified through the analysis on the expectations and requirements from interested parties to ensure the project is successful when met. All the required project objects and deliverables will be reviewed at the gate review during the project process, which helps the project team to handle with the project progress and achieve the expected result. Risk management is a critical portion of quality management in project so that the risk evaluation is conducted at each gate review during the project process to keep the relative risk under the control. The frame model and method provide useful guide for quality management in DPES auto part development project and it is a use for reference to quality management on new product project in other auto parts enterprise as well.
