In China, the land is the most important resource and production element of the peasants. But along with the step of urbanization, more and more peasants lost their lands and they became a group of social edge minority-the land-lost peasants. Urbanization is a meaningful symbol of civilization, which is an essential condition to the society and economy, so it is a common phenomenon that the peasants who lost lands have become a new group. As the defects of the land expropriation compensation system, a lot of land-lost peasants have become the people who are "peasants without lands, workers without jobs and without security rights", which caused a lot of social security problems, such as aging security, medical care, employment and child education. These problems have become an obvious conflict between land-lost peasants and local governments, made land-lost peasants become the unsteady factor of our country economic development and social stability. The land-lost peasants, landless peasants and rural migrant workers have formed the new "three rural issues". Therefore, the government should offer them reasonable expropriation compensation and solve their production and live problems. What the land-lost peasants are concerned most is the social security. In the process of land expropriation, Cheng Du government has taken effective measures to protect the rights and interests of land-lost peasants. Pixian is a big and developed town in Cheng Du, have made great effort to explore and attempted to improve social security system for land-lost peasants. So this thesis takes Pixian as an example, analyzes its basic condition of the social security for land-lost peasants, finds out the existing primal problems, points out the successful experiences and insufficiencies and gives suggestions for improvement.
