The urbanization is the necessity of history, and is also an important symbol of the modern society. However, in the process of urbanization, the standard of allocation for Land-lost Peasants is very low, the ways for compensation are very simple, and the Land-lost Peasants lack the support of the stable social security, which cause a large number of them to turn into the urban poor people. Its result will inevitably influence the social stabilization, and become the hidden danger in structuring the harmonious society. With the quick development of urbanization, a large number of Lost-land peasants appears in Nanjing. Their living standard is decreasing for lack of the corresponding compensation and settlement of land expropriation. The author thinks that it is one of the good approaches to benefit them in long term to bring the Land-lost peasants into social security system, and mainly discusses the following aspects. First, it is inevitable and reasonable that the Land-lost peasants have a series of life difficulties on a large scale of urbanization of China. Secondly, the author discusses that the standard of living of Nanjing peasants of land expropriation is declining because of the irrationality in the process of land expropriation. Thirdly, the key to resolve the series of problems of the Nanjing peasants of land expropriation is to found and prefect the social security system. Fourthly, according to the characteristics of Nanjing peasants of land expropriation (such as, age and gender) and corresponding social security rules, the author considers that the expenditure of social security can be reckoned. At the same time, in order to support the continual development of the social security system, the peasants of land expropriation should be bring into the town protect system. At last, the author thinks that the master consciousness of the land-lost peasants should be strengthened when they lose their lands; and the compensation and the transparency of the land expropriation should be advanced. In particular, it is essential that the re-employment of land-lost peasants should be resolved properly. The author hopes that more and more scholars pay attention to the lives of Land-lost Peasants.
