Research And Application On EPC Total Contract Mode In Petrochemical Project

With the further integration of domestic and international markets,construction and management of increasingly towards specialization,petrochemical construction project management has gradually set up by the owners of their works command the traditional model of management of EPC Project Delivery to the professional management of mode changes.EPC Project Delivery with its construction project investment, short construction period,construction of a high level of technical quality,building owners to undertake risky investments and advantage,gradually been accepted by owners of construction projects.Under the impetus of the government,China has a lot of petrochemical projects using EPC general contract,practice in the model is mature,but also revealing as general contracting and project management,inadequate laws and regulations,with international competition strength of the small number of engineering companies , enterprises and other serious shortage of high-quality talent part of the problem.How to make EPC Contract Mode in China petroleum and chemical healthy and orderly development of the project has become a major issue be solved.This paper introduces the overall research backgroundof the thesis,the meaning of the total EPC contract model and foreign current researches of EPC General Contracting,and also introduced the main contents and methods. Then introduced the definition of project management and characteristics,the main form of EPC and characteristics and the definition and the advantages and disadvantages of the total EPC contract mode,to compare the domestic EPC contract mode with foreign EPC contract mode and analysised.Find out the main differences. EPC general contractor mode as the research focus,analysised the problems of EPC general contractor mode in China deeply,proposed corrective measures and recommendations for improvement.It introduces the petrochemical project development and project management features,from the start-up of the project,the project design, procurement, construction and final acceptance,etc.Described the application of EPC general contractor mode in Xinjiang Dushanzi 1 million tons/year ethylene project, analysised the shortcomings of the EPC contracting mode in the application. The last part combined the development of domestic contract model and foreign EPC contract mode and management experience of Petrochemical installations in EPC contract mode.Based on the actual situatio of 1.2 million tons/year in Daqing petrochemicalethylene expansion project to propose of the total EPC contract mode management proposals.Based on the EPC General Contracting Project Management,provide certain theoretical basis and practical guidance for the improvement of the international competitiveness of China's petrochemical industry general contracting companies.
