Research On Distribution Center Location For Xx Brand Clothing Retail Chain Enterprises

Nowadays, economists call logistics"the third profit headspring", and more enterprises pay attention to management of logistics or supply chain. To clothing retail enterprises, due to higher overall profit, few enterprises pay attention to the improvement of their management level, not to mention the development of logistics. However, what goes against logistics management is that most clothing retail enterprises are faced with many common logistic problems such as overstock, continuously high logistic costs, and unreasonable construction of distribution network and so on. Therefore, how to solve the common logistic problems is critical. Location constitutes its importance in the whole logistic system and is a research issue of logistics management strategy. Scientific selection of the construction site of logistics distribution center is benefit for not only the efficiency and costs of enterprise operation, but also future expansion and development of the scale of warehousing. It is a macro-strategic issue but exists in every level of logistic system. There are many buildings and fixed mechanical equipments in the logistics distribution center, so it is hard to change if it is completed. Inappropriate location will make the enterprise pay long-term price. Therefore, the location plan for the logistics distribution center should be paid close attention.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part explains the background and significance of the logistics distribution center of clothing retail chain enterprises and summarizes the related domestic documents of location. The second part mainly discusses the key points of location for the logistics distribution center of clothing retail chain enterprises. The third part analyzes the factors affecting the location for the logistics distribution center of clothing retail chain enterprises mainly from the aspects of strategy, macro-economy and infrastructure. The fourth part and the fifth part are the heart of the paper, which are respectively the location modeling and evaluation on the modeling for the logistics distribution center of clothing retail chain enterprises. The total system cost optimization model is established, so that the optimal inventory level and location scheme for the distribution center that generate the minimum cost are found. In addition, these parts do sensitivity analysis on the impacts of the change of demand and transport distance on the total cost and location.
