Research On Intelligent Controller Of Direct Drive Turret

With the rapid development of information technology, informationization and industrialization are merging together. The new industrial era of intelligent industry into being, it is based on the Internet and the Internet of things technology. In this background, smart machine tool which is integrated with intelligent, digitization and networking has also been studied and developed. Smart machine tool has three significant functions, including self perception of running status, self monitoring of running status and self optimizing of running status. Smart machine tool also has the self learning function and fault alarm function as well. As one of the key components of machine tool, CNC turret is becoming intelligent.The direct drive turret is a new type of turret by direct drive transmission technology. The direct drive turret is developed by Jiangnan University and Enterprise. At present, direct drive turret is new products in the domestic market. According to the demand of the development of the direct drive turret networked, intelligent, the direct drive turret controller has been studied in this paper. Hardware system and software are given.Aiming at intelligent controller of direct drive turret, technology features are given. The intelligent of direct drive turret will be improved by using this controller. The intelligent controller is composed of three parts. It interacts information with CNC、servo drive and human-computer interaction interface. The tool changing completed based on 3 steps, getting signal form CNC, transfering the signal to drive to change tool, feeding the signal of completion back to CNC. In addition, parameters and fault diagnosis can be seen and edited on human-computer interface. This intelligent controller uses Raspberry Pi as the core component. Both software systems and hardware systems are given. IN this systems B/S architecture is used, the WEB browser as human-computer interface. In addition, parameters optimization function and fault alarm function can be seen and edited on human-computer interface. This direct-drive turret with intelligent controller, finish for longer life. And the intelligence of the direct-drive turret is improved.Finally, this intelligent controller has been made, and has been applied to actual production. Each function module of intelligent controller is validated by the actual use. Hardware system and software system bugs have been found in practical application. The prototype of intelligent controller has been formed through improvement. Eventually intelligent controller was on display in the CNC equipment exhibition.
