Nowadays the application of embedded technology expands quickly to many fields. With the rapid development of electronic and manufacturing technology, the single-chip microcomputer has been widely used in automatic fields, because its security, high performance and low price. At the same time, embedded technology also gets very great development, among which the development of embedded operating system is most outstanding. Some excellent embedded operating system with open source codes has appeared, such as μC/OS-Ⅱ. μC/OS-Ⅱ will win extensive application in the field of automation because of its good real-time characteristic, high dependability and very simplified kernel.At the beginning of this thesis the development of embedded system is briefly introduced. The characteristic and the advantage of uC/OS-ll are analyzed, and the operation structure of the kernel is anatomized especially. Then the design process of an Automatically Locating System for Vehicle Headlight Tester with embedded automatic control system based on uC/OS-ll is discussed in detail.The system used C805IF020 as the kernel of embedded control system. The hardware of this system mainly consists of three parts: data acquisition interface, central controlling unit and communication interface. Data acquisition interface includes A/D conversion accomplishes the sampling of the headlamp beams;Central Controlling Unit made by C805IF020 and relative circuits deals with data processing, coordinating system operation, and output controlling;In the communication part, the serial communication interface is used to implement the transferring the data and instructs between the single-chip microcomputer and PC.The design of the system software includes porting the kernel of uC/OS-ll to hardware platform based on C805IF020, the management of the system and all sub modules.
