Different cultures and thinking models result in different expressing ways in English and Chinese. It is necessary to make some adjustments by adopting proper methods to have their styles correspond with each other, and to have their messages be equivalent of each other as well. The shift of perspective is one practical method in translation. This article, based on Professor Ke Ping's view on shift of perspective in translation and the author's translation practice, tries to probe into the application of the method of shift of perspective in translation from three angles. |
