As the reform of new curriculum goes on, research-oriented classroom instruction has come to be one of the hot issues. This teaching method for Moral Cultivation for junior middle school students is student-centered and characterized on research. While instructing, the teacher creates a context somewhat of academic or scientific research, puts forward some relevant issues from our daily life to enlighten students to explore, to learn, to construct their own frame of knowledge, to know how to learn, how to solve problems, and help them to develop the consciousness and capacity of research and innovation. This teaching method is an inevitable claim for promoting quality education in all around way in the course of carrying out new curriculum reform. This thesis summarizes the studies made home and abroad in theory and practice, explores the ways to apply this teaching method to the course of Moral Cultivation, explains the necessity of Research-oriented classroom instruction for the course of Moral Cultivation for Junior Middle School, sets forth some concrete procedure, maneuvers and patterns. Our teaching practice has confirmed the high value of the teaching method though some problems emerged in its application in teaching. We have found solutions to them, which is of great help for optimizing the classroom instruction. Yet it still calls for more efforts to perfect the teaching method and integrate it with current teaching reform.
