With the application of modern science and technology as well as the development of social economy, the focus of human resources management has shifted to knowledge-based staff management, and college educators are very popular among different colleges. As the reform of higher education becomes further and more standard, independent college is forced to focus on the improvement of educational quality and their own characteristics rather than on expanding the size and number of enrolment if they want to surviving for survival and development, and the high-caliber teaching faculty is the guarantee to improve its quality of education.The staff of an independent college is composed of full-time educators and part-time educators. There are a lot of problems in effective management of part-time educators for they are mainly from different colleges or retired teachers from colleges. They are the majority of educators in independent colleges, with more mobility and less restriction. Therefore, in the present situation, how to establish effective mechanisms to attract, motivate and retain these part-time educators in colleges is becoming an urgent subject for human resources management workers to solve.This thesis mainly studies the inspiration status of part-time teachers in JH independent colleges, based on the research of inspiration theory in western countries. It analyzes the specific factors influencing the positivity in their work through the study of part-time educators in JH independent colleges by questionnaire. Meanwhile, the thesis analyses the inspiration status and the relationship among different factors in JH independent colleges. From the perspective of recruiting, employing and cultivating educators, the thesis proposes solutions in order to inspire the enthusiasm of part-time educators and stimulate their internal potential by combining the characteristics of independent colleges and the specific necessities of educators. The inspiration of their enthusiasm and potential is conducive to realization of overall development and structural optimization of educators in independent colleges.
