Abstract/Summary:
The Green Trade Barrier (GTB) has become the major character of the International Trade Protectionism and attracted many countries' attention in recent years due to the economic globalization and international trade development. Undoubtedly, it is theoretically significant to study the concept of the green barriers impact of the green barriers on the mechanism and effects of international trade. In recent years, developed countries frequently use the issue of green barriers to restrict export from China, which causes negative effect on Chinese trade. Therefore, it is practically important to research the issue of green barriers and its effect on Chinese foreign trade and overall economy.There are some successful researchers on GTB from specifically point of view nowadays, but in totally, these researchers are scattered and non-systematical,so such a systematical research must be done to repair some limitations. The article is divided into six parishes. In the first part, the thesis mainly explains some basic theories about green barrier. Based on the definition of green barrier and hounding the characteristic standards of green barrier correctly, the thesis briefly green barrier's character and generates causes of it. The second chapter makes theoretical analysis on static and dynamic effect of the green barriers, and analyses the prompting mechanism of GTB by game theory .These will provide basis for analyzing its effects on Chinese trade. The third part summarizes the regulation of GTB in WTO, and analyses the developing countries'standpoint on trade and environmental issues in the frame of World Trade Organization. Combined with up-to-date data and information, the fourth part discusses the effect on export of China by GTB. The reason of Chinese goods suffering from GTB repeatedly will also be provided. And the fifth in the six parts of the study, the policy advice towards overcoming the GTB is given through government, enterprise and NGO's angles. The last part is the epilogue, which summarizes the paper recapitulative.
