Jiangsu Oilfield is a large stated-ownedâ… level enterprise affiliated to the China petrochemical Engineering Corporation (SINOPEC), the largest oil industrial producing base in the South Land of China, providing energy and power guarantee for the Yangtze River Delta's rapid economic development to some extent. In the world today, the international oil prices rise and fall; the markets both at home and aboard are unstable and competitive. In order to gaining a firm foothold in such environment, as a petroleum producing industry it is certain to focus on its key specialty, of which high qualified staff is an important medium and promoting staff training is a key path.Based on the reality of Jiangsu Oilfield, the paper introduces its present human resource and training survey; then provides specific solutions and exact strategies and operation schemes based on the survey of the present training progress of the company, plus the summary of the current problems existing in its training as well as the analysis on the theoretically demand for training and self-development of staff. Making a scientific program for staff careers, devising various training courses, adopting latest skills and training ways to optimize management & administration personnel, professional contingent and skilled workersuare with Oilfield development can push the strategy ofinvigorating the country through science and technology, giving priorities to human issues" into reality.
