Since the introduction of, there have been scholars to making annotations for this to dozens of species, of which the best quality, the most popular,comes from the Chen Wanjun's book Tang Poetry 300 Annotations. But this book did not attract the attention and research from academic world, therefore, the research for Tang Poetry 300 Annotations is still blank until now.In this paper, Tang Poetry 300 Annotations was made a comprehensive and systematic analysis by the theory and method of Chinese Exegesis, and summarized the characteristics and shortcomings of Chen Wanjun's annotations.The full text of five chapters, including the introduction, the text and the summary three parts.The first chapter, introduces the studying significance and situation of Tang Poetry 300 Annotations, Sun Zhu's life profile and the contents and style of the Tang Poetry 300, and the scholiast Chen Wanjun and the basic situation of Tang Poetry 300 Annotations.The text parts including of the second, third and fourth chapters, mainly for the content of Tang Poetry 300 Annotations on the detailed and thorough analysis and discussion. The content of comments by Chen Wanjun, including collation, phonetic notations, analysis of characters, words, allusions, poetry topics explaination and poet biography. In addition, Chen Wanjun was retained the notes what made by Sun Zhu when he was compile the Tang Poetry 300, we have made a more detailed analysis.The second chapter is explain the collation, the phonetic notations, the analysis of characters and the words that was the basic of annotation, and were summed up their deficiencies.The third chapter is explain the annotations of the word for the name. This part is the focus content of Chen Wanjun's annotations, we will be divided into nine categories which are described separately.Chapter four is a depth analysis of literary annotations, that includes of allusions, poetry topics explaination, poet biographies, and Sun Zhu's notes.The last chapter summarized the achievements and the shortcomings of Chen Wanjun's annotations from the whole. It points that Chen Wanjun's Tang Poetry 300 Annotations have a great reference value and experience to us today studying Tang poetry annotations and other poems and essays annotations.
