During almost 40 years, China has experienced dramatic growth in economy, promoting the movement of millions of migrant workers from villages towards cities. Most of them prefer to leave their children at villages because of slender income and unstable life. According to the statistics, there are more than 6.1 million left-behind children in villages around China, which has become an increasing serious social problem and draws the attention of the society. This summer the author had the pleasure of conducting a field research with instructors and other students in a village primary school for left-behind children in Jiangxi Province. Based on the description of the phenomenon of anti-school culture, this paper analyzes the causes of anti-school culture among left-behind children. The author believes that over-anxiety for safe form schools, behavior of rural teachers, as well as the resistance against spoon-feeding education of children are the three most dominant causes. Behind the three main causes, the fundamental reason is that the conflict between "stocking-style family education environment" of left-behind children and "strict control of the school system". The findings of the author are different from those in other researches. The paper provides a clear guidance for solving the problem of anti-school culture among left-behind children, and helps relieve the left-behind children with serious acts of anti-school culture of this problem, making them adapt better to the study and life in schools. As a volunteer teacher, the author experienced and observed the life of left-behind children in schools and villages. Earning the trust of people in villages and getting the permission, the author conducted several in-depth communication with teachers in schools, left-behind children and their parents. After collection of information by the method of qualitative research, literature analysis is adopted to sort out the researches and studies about anti-school culture among left-behind children.
