A Study On The Role Of Social Organizations In Earthquake Disaster Relief

After Wenchuan Earthquake, social organizations of country actively participate and play an increasing significant role to demonstrate their unique function in disaster relief, which change the formerly incompetent images and considerably draw the public attention. In several recent earthquakes, we can see the significant role the social organizations play. However, social organizations of our country start late and develop slowly under the influence of institutions, laws and some other external factors. There exist some problems in social organizations. The study, based on disaster relief, first summarizes the functions of social organizations in disaster relief, then explores the existing problems of social organizations in disaster relief and analyzes the reasons, and scrutinizes the corresponding strategies in order to better work in disaster relief.
