Research On Local Government Public Service

With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, people’s living standards have been improved, and the comprehensive national strength has been further strengthened. However, due to the problems such as imbalance of regional development, the differences between urban and rural areas, the gap between the rich and the poor, and the diversification of social contradictions, people produced many new demands in material life and spiritual life. These profound changes in the new period become a new challenge to the work of the government. As the connecting point between the central government and the base course, the local government plays an important role in improving the public service system and maintaining social stability. This thesis regarding "The public service of local government" as the entry point and taking the government of Yuxi Hongta District as the research object, tries to investigate, summarize and study the public service contents and achievements, current situation of public service construction, experience and difficulties of public service in Yuxi Hongta District with the background of building a harmonious society and a service-oriented government. From the perspective of policy optimization, this thesis aims to resolve the contradiction of the rapid growth of public demand and the shortage of public services supply, meet the people’s growing public demand, improve the ability of government’s public service and social security, and provide an effective way to realize the equalization of basic public services, thus provide reference to the government of Hongta District to promote the further development of public services.
