Through systematically analyzing the study of tourism planning in western countries,looking baskward and forward the development of tourism planning in china, the authorconstitutes the analytical frame of tourism planning and designs the standardized contents oftourism planning.Much attention is paid to the development of tourism planning in china. The conception oftourism planning in china undergoes four-stage evolution: the resource-oriented tourism planning(1980s), the market oriented tourism planning (the pre-stage of 1990s), the image-orientedtourism planning (the middle of 1990s) and the ecology-oriented tourism planning (the post-Stageof 1990s).
