The basic problem of leader is the problem of relation between the leader and the masses .in the final analysis is the problem of who was served .since the reforming and opening ,Deng Xiao Ping put forward the theory of "leader is serving " which based the new circumstances and new problems. This theory is announces the essence of proletarian leader thought and proletarian leader behavior .so ,studying deeply and advocating actively the great thought of Deng Xiao Ping have the very important practical significance for changing the leader style , stronging the relation between the carders and the masses , protecting the smoothly going of the reforming and opening . this article uses the basic theory of Maxism-Leninism as the guiding , studying and exploring the Deng Xiao Ping′s new generalization .there are four parts in this article ,each part′main contents as follows : The first part mainly discussed "leading is serving "is the inheritance and development of Marxism leader idea .this passage clarified four theories ,that are ,the proletarian leader is the social public servant and odd-jobman ,Mao Ze Dong originated the theory of serving for the people heart and soul .Deng Xiao Ping put forward the "tool argument " and "service argument ",Jiang Ze Min posed the thought of "three deputies " .these four theories were succeeded each other ,come down in one continuous line .in the four theories ,the idea of "leading is serving " making special contribution for the Marx′theory of leader′nature . The second part importantly expounded the actual significance of Deng Xiao Ping′s idea of leader nature .emphasizing "leading is serving "makes the duty of leader and leading body clear and definite ;suits the demand of reforming ;emphasizing "leader is serving "is beneficial to improve the consciousness of service and eliminate the bureaucratic style of work ;advocating "leading is serving " is advantageous to promote the leader and leader body to study professional knowledge and improve their work ability . The third part mainly discussed the contents and characteristics of leader service .the contents of leader service may include the following four sides .these are ,guiding service ;managing service ;routine service ;transforming service .the characteristics of leader service are function ,entirety ,double objectives ,subjective consciousness . The fourth part expounded the three realizing conditions of leader service .the first condition is firmly following the masses line ;the second condition is opposing bureaucracy .the third condition is improving the serving ability of leader .in the third condition ,this article mainly introduce some basic abilities which was related with the era , such as knowledge leading ability ,transforming ability .
