Salary management system (SMS) is not only one important aspect of enterprise human resource management (HRM), but also the most crucial component of enterprises in deepening Three System reform, and building the modern enterprise system. During the present day, as the competition between enterprises is getting more severe , on one hand ,enterprises always take the rising level of salary as the trump to encourage elitist to compete; on the other hand, they have to do everything possible to decrease the costs of salary in order to sharpen their products competitiveness in the market. Therefore, how to design one SMS suitable to Chinese enterprises with the characters of the state-owned enterprises (SOE) in particular , is one of the most important tasks in the SOEs reform. This thesis , based on the elementary theories of motivation and salary, puts forward a set of new design scheme of salary system that based on the present status and depicts them in detail from different aspects through analysis and study on the present SMS of Triangle Group.This thesis consists of four parts. The firs part is the fundamental of the salary design system. Study and dissertation are made in terms such as theories of motivation, theories of salary design, function of salary, affecting factors of salary and basic principles of salary design etc, which paves a theoretical way for study and analysis of the present status of salary system of Triangle Group and redesign of salary system. The second part focuses on study and analysis of the present status of Triangle's salary system and discloses its demerits. The third part, by considering the demerits in the present salary system and combining the theories of salary design and the present status of Triangle Group, redesigns the salary system for the group. The forth part makes a comparative analysis between the old and new salary systems, pointing out the implementation steps and caution to pay attention to during the execution. This article strives to reinforce the pertinence and feasibility by integrating theory with practice.
