Project Management, Configuration Management System

Configuration Management is an advanced engineering technique used in the life cycle of product. Because of the complicated structure and the long life cycle, the airplane R&D Project needs Configuration Management much more. Project Management, as a multidimensional and multiplayer integrated subject of applying industry engineering, system engineering, decision-making analysis, computer technology and software engineering, is used widely in this informatization society.This paper focused on using Project Management technology and Configuration Management methods to support schedule, data and resource management in the life cycle of product, shorten the development cycle and improve the product quality.This paper, based on the analyse of the management elements and the common plan methods, put forward the project schedule and control model on Configuration Management tasks, and discussed the key techniques to realize it. This paper also brought forward the framework for integrating the PM system and the CM system, and the information exchanges between them. Based on the analyse we discuss the technology of realizing the Project Management system, moreover, the integration between these two systems was realized by the development of a real system.
