This paper looks on the scientific management theory as its soul, the Japanese management model as its subject, elaborates and inquires into the reasons of the prosperity and decline of the Japanese management model, so that we can correctly understand the Japanese management model.This paper divides into four parts. Part one introduces the concept of the Japanese management, lets know its concrete context. Part two explores the background of the Japanese management, and traces back to Japan society and culture, ect. Part three, which is the key section, gives a detailed analysis about the reasons of the prosperity an decline of the Japanese management, at the same time, this part unfolds the course of this change before our eyes. The last part draws inspiration from the development of the Japanese management model, what is more, Chinese enterprises can gain enlightenment from it.
