Occupation Career Management( OCM ) has become an important content and new development direction in HR management field, but it is seldom involved in the practice application research in China. Building a Occupation Career and development planning in Quality Management Department of a Pharmaceutical Company is helpful to creating a professional working environment, bringing up the professional person and setting up the equitable open Career Development motivate system. With OCM, on the one hand, the staff can be guided and trained properly, on the other hand, the staff themselves can clearly understand the requirement of the current jobs, build the right position expectation and promote understanding and obligation of the personal development. Consequently, the staff's working performance is improved and the key competition advantage is enhanced. By using the theory of OCM, the article does a completely research on the staff's Occupation Career in Quality Department of Pharm. Company, which is based on the practical experience in or outside China. First, sets about from OCM, briefly introduces the connotation of OCM, then analyzes the current situation and problems on the basis of broadly investigation of Pharm. Company. Third, focuses on the analyzing the seriously rapid turnover of staff and the un-balanced personnel structure etc. to interpret the necessity and importance of the quality staff's OCM. Last, discusses how to design and execute the policy of the OCM, and simply shows the rules and method it should follow up. Thus by analyzing responsibility and defining the qualification, a Career Path is set up on the basis of ability in the Quality Dept. in Pharm. Company. Finally, the article introduces how to use the Career Path on the recruitment, performance management and training in Pharm. company.
