Non-traditional Security

After cold war, the Non-traditional security (NTS) problems in east Asia grow rapidly and badly threatens the security of this area. Although this security crisis brings new challenge to the security cooperation of East Asia it also brings new chance to it. NTS becomes a dynamic force to the security cooperation of the East Asia.On the basis of the concept of the NTS theory, this article use the East Asia security cooperation dilemma and the development of the NTS cooperation as the precondition, studies the dynamic affection of the Non-traditional security in the cooperation of the East Asia , especially in the East Asia security community. China, as a big country in East Asia, how to use the chance and settle the challenges which the NTS problems bring about is also concerned in this article.This article is composed of five parts. Chapter I define the NTS on the basis of the redefine of the traditional security and analyze the character of the NTS theoretically. Chapter II study the present situation of the security cooperation of East Asia and then dissect the reason of the East Asia security cooperation dilemma. The NTS cooperation of East Asia certainly ease the dilemma and prompt the deep cooperation of the East Asia.In chapter III, I studies the dynamic affection of the NTS to the East Asia security cooperation. There are two reasons of it, on the one hand, the NTS widens new security concept, which helps the East Asia cooperation build a concept foundation. On the other, there are great relationship between the NTS and the cooperation force of the traditional security, this relationship prompt the cooperation of East Asia from the interest, regime and the identification. This article also tries to distinguish the definite forces and the vague forces from the NTS forces. To what extent the NTS works in the cooperation of the East Asia is the most valuable part in the research of the dynamic affection in East Asia cooperation. This chapter will analyze the dynamic affection on the relationship of the competitor, alliance and the association.
