After the investigation of the senior high students' present review situation , it is found that they are lacking in the summary of the relationships between different math points. In the process of math review, doing math exercises often becomes the only focus. For them, they don't pay enough attention to building the knowledge network. Therefore, it is an educational subject of considerable significance that students rearrange and abstract what they have learnt and optimize their cognitive structure of their own accord based on their own understanding. This paper is intended to explore the principles, methods and processes concerning employing mind map to guide senior high students through their maths review, for the purpose of helping the students with their scientific review and improving their learning efficiency. Based on the investigations and interview carried out among teachers and students , the analysis of the present situations existing in the process of revising maths, the objectives and requirements of senior high maths review as well as the characteristics of mind map, this paper presents the six principles involved in using mind map to guide senior high students through math review, that is "proceed step by step" principle", "aimed at individuals" principle, "sorting out" principle", based on students"principle, "lay emphasis on the key points" principle, and "systematizing" principle. This paper gives a specific account of methods to guide the students through their inductive process of the concepts, formula, and theorems, and reflections after solving math problems, and gives detailed instructions on how to sort out what the students have learned in a chapter or for a special subject.Contrasting tests are adopted in an attempt to verify whether it will achieve the desired effect. After the verification, achievements of students in the experimental class are remarkably better than those in the average class, which is a case in point that those principles, methods, and processes involved in using the mind map to guide the senior high students through their math reviews are helpful in assisting the students having mastery of what they have learnt as well as improving their learning efficiency.
