Since 2007, the new music curriculum reforms are fully implemented in high school in Shaanxi Province,music lessons as a required course for high school students to be implemented. High school music education is an important part of music education.For the "quasi-adult education phase " of high school students, music can cultivate noble aesthetic sentiment, positive aesthetic culture and the promotion of Mental Health. However, in China, urban and rural socio-economic conditions vary greatly. In the City and County of Shaanxi Province, a big gap between music education. Thus, in urban and rural high school students, between the status of learning music show some significantly different characteristics.The study is the field research, the author randomly selected 20 high schools, from Shaanxi province, city and county level. By comparing urban students and rural students in music learning situation, understand that urban and rural areas have different educational cultural backgrounds, both inside and outside class learning environment and the rural and urban music acts and attitudes. Thus, the analysis of the reasons for the differences, summed up the impact factors, and tried to put forward to promote balanced urban and rural music education suggestions and strategies. Hope to promote the rural quality of education equity, reducing the educational gap between urban and rural areas. Further to improve the urban and rural high school music education in different, but also guide the high school students to learn music.The survey methodology is paid questionnaire, interview and comparative analysis. The author's extensive collection of data of each school, including teachers, students, schools and parents. I combine field research in person, through the processing of information and comparison of scientific and reasonable sum problems, Finally, sum up the differences in many aspects of the following:First, in the educational and cultural background, the city's industrial civilization and the rural agricultural culture is different. Second, in general, the city's curricular and extracurricular learning environment is better than rural areas. Third, the urban and rural students behavior and attitudes of music, showing different characteristics. Based on the above analysis, for learning how to reduce the gap between urban and rural high school students, I had some thinking and exploration. First, the concept of first, establishing the concept of education equity. Second, the government-led education to establish a rational management system. Third, improve the system, and establish open and fair system and policies. Fourth, content development, urban and rural schools to enhance teaching effectiveness self. Fifth, the concerns interested in the laying of the campus environment and conduct practical activities. Sixth,, urban driving rural, urban and rural schools for mutual exchange. Seventh, learn from experience, and gradually achieve educational resource sharing.
