Chinese martial arts are rooted in the Chinese traditional culture with its deep profoundcultural connotations, which are an outstanding ethnic traditional sports and cultural heritage ofnational treasures. By teaching middle school students the Kong Fu, it can enhance the students’physical fitness and gritty quality. At the same time, it can improve the students’ ideologicaleducation of patriotism, which is an important implication for young people to inherit and carryforward the national spirit. Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Education in theApril2,2004jointly issued the “Primary and secondary schools to carry forward and cultivatethe national spirit education implementation outline”, that mentioned: physical educationcurriculum should be appropriate to increase the Chinese martial arts, and so on. In order topromote quality education for the middle school students, martial arts became a middle schoolsports, that is compulsory. However, various factors have led to the implementation of theexisting martial arts teaching in schools. Therefore, in order to better carry forward the finetraditional culture of our country and understand the actual situation of the rural middle school inSouthwest region martial arts villages, we use literature, questionnaires, fieldwork method,mathematical statistics, expert interviews and other research methods to investigate, analyze theexisting problems, and propose appropriate solutions and countermeasures.By the investigations, we draw the following conclusions: First, the teaching objectivesrepresentation levels are too low. Most physical education teachers’ teaching objectives isunclear, only requiring the students to be able to on class. And these teaching goals only stay inthe representation level; second, unreasonably middle school teacher title structure. The teachers’title is too low, while the teachers who have the title of senior physical education are too old;third, the martial arts teaching evaluation method is too simple. Evaluation methods in Wushumartial arts teaching is relatively simple, and the content is limited to the evaluation ofknowledge, skills, content mastery,and so on; fourth, less professional sports teacher ratio. Theratio of martial arts professional sports is too low, accounting for only5%, which will restrict thedevelopment and innovation of martial arts education; fifth, the books of martial arts are too old.The majority of books are using the old one and the contents and form of that one need to beimproved.In order to further promote the development of Chinese culture, in order to enhance theChinese people’s national pride and self-confidence, in order to develop a more stable andprosperous society, we have the responsibility and obligation to carry forward this traditionculture-Chinese martial arts. I made the following observations and recommendations: First,deepening the goal of teaching martial arts. Improving the students’ knowledge and understanding of the martial arts. Correcting the students learning martial arts motivation,improving the students’ understanding of the martial arts; second, continue to strengthen theconstruction of a professional martial arts middle school teachers。 Strengthen teachers’professional martial arts ability, improve their theoretical level and drill level, at the same time,the need to continue to improve teaching methods, learn useful methods of modern sportsteaching in ensuring the quality of teaching at the same time, improve the martialtime-consuming, tedious, slow inadequate;Third, the reform of secondary schools of martial artsexam content and evaluation methods. Combine the objective evaluation and subjectiveevaluation, the evaluation of absolute and relative, adjust the teaching content, flexibleorganizational level teaching and improve the students’ learning initiative, the martial artsatmosphere;Fourth, develop professional martial arts teachers, improve the quality of teachers.Constantly improve the martial arts teacher training system, has long been a large number ofmartial arts talent;Fifth, innovative the teaching martial arts. Teachers should be good at diggingnew and unique martial arts program to attract students’ attention, arouse the enthusiasm of thestudents。...
