The headteacher in primary school is the instructor of the class management work and the undertaker of the education teaching work, who has the profound influence on students. As a result, the focus on the survival condition of the headteacher in primary school is equal to the focus on the students’education and class management work, which is concerned with the students.In this paper, using the literature method, the interview method and the questionnaire method, I’ve carried out the objective description and deep analysis on the class management and the survival condition of the headteacher in the primary school located in the south of jiangsu.Based on their present working condition, I’ve put forward some suggestions and ideas on how to further improve their work enthusiasm, promote the professional development of the headteacher, improve their effectiveness of the performance management.My research is divided into four parts. The first part is mainly about the reasons why I selected this topic and the status quo of the research. I have teased out the relevant literature and introduced the research object and methods. In the second part, tying to find out how to conduct the school management activities concering the headteacher, I’ve carried out in-depth field exploration in the following five aspects, which mainly cover the basic situation of the headteacher from the B primary school, the employment of the headteacher, rules and regulations in class, the work process management of the headteacher, the performance appraisal of the headteacher. In the third part, in the narrative way, I’ve described the teaching work of the headteacher, class management, coordination of students, classroom teachers and parents, and other formal work. I’ve also given the vivid description and the rational analysis of survival present situation of the headteacher and problems they face. The fourth part is about the the further analysis of the survival characteristics of the headteacher in the primary school. In this part, I’ve also put forward the corresponding suggestions on improving the existing situation of the headteacher in the primary school.
