Social Worker 's Professional Psychological Quality: Questionnaire Compilation And Analysis Of Characteristics

Social workers are professionals engaged in social work. Their professional psychological quality is, based on the physiological condition, comprehensive psychological requirement for them in order to adapt to the social work environent in practice. This study makes social workers’professional psychological qualities the topic and establishes the " Psychological quality scale for professional social workers ". It uses the scale to measure their professional psychological quality and analyze the features. The following are the conclusions:Psychological qualities of social worker in China are with the following features:(1) There are significant differences in the unity, judgment, justice and self-regulation of professional psychological quality scores between men and women. On unity and justice, males were significantly lower than females.While On judgment and self-regulatory factors, males were significantly higher than females.(2) In addition to factor of justice, there are significant differences in social workers of different ages in psychological quality. Those with high age are better than the low-aged ones. There is a gradual increase in scores from the low-age to high-age group.(3) In addition to factor of justice, the professional psychological quality of different seniority social workers is significantly different. Social workers with long career have higher score than those with short career. There is a gradual increase in scores from short-career one to the long career one.(4) There is significant difference in only sense of responsibility in social workers of different academic degrees. Specifically, the group with a bachelor or even higher degree is significantly more responsible than those with a junior college degree.
