In the fall of2004, the serial of art text-books for high schools began to be used all over the country, is the symbol of the great change of teaching method and ideas. As the art teaching in high school began rather late in our country, I found that we have a lot of work to do to make the text-books perfect. Therefore, research on the situation of the use of the art text-books is very important in the reform of art teaching field. Although the course of art education has made great progress in the past several years, we have to face new challenges. For example, the reform of art education is still need to be pushed in northern areas of Jiangsu Province.The data collected in this thesis were from the following eight high schools in Huai An City: Huaizhou High School, Chuzhou High School, Qingpu High School, Mianhuazhuangzhen High School, the First High School of Lianshui County, Maba High School of Xuyi County, the First High School of Jinhu County, and the First High School of Hongze County.This thesis, based on the new edition of an art text-book "ON DISCRIMINATION AND APPRECIATION OF ART("distributed by Hunan Provincial Art Publishing Company), includes the following four parts:(1)Preface: researching background of the text-book, meanings and method;(2)Investigation&analysis:statistics work and analyzing;(3)Thought and suggestion: based on the data and the result of analyzing, and the basic rules of development of the art education reform, some suggestions on art text-books are offered for reference in this part;(4)Conclusion.
