The Model Education has a long history, and it has been widely applied in schoolstill now. In view of various defects of the traditional Model Education, our schoolcreated a new form of the Model Education——“The Little Model Education”,in thisway, teachers as well as all students find students with some outstanding performancein class together, called them “Little Models”. Then, all students learn from these“Little Models” with some outstanding performance.This paper is to investigate how “The Little Model Education” carries out in theprimary school, to discuss the effectiveness of the new form of the Model Education.First, we randomly selected a few students from all6grades and collected theinformation of how “The Little Model Education” carries out in each class, then madethe questionnaires based on this information. There are The ten aspects of “The LittleModel Education” in these questionnaires including loving the collective, listeningcarefully, answering in class, helping people, sitting up straight, writing neatly,thinking hardly, be not afraid of failure, observing discipline and overcoming thedifficulties. Second, we randomly selected two classes in Grade3and Grade5fourclasses in all to take the questionnaires. According to the results, this form of “TheLittle Model Education” made most of the students had a great deal of progress,however, there are differences between the different aspects. Three aspects made thelargest progress among them, they are helping people, overcoming the difficulties andobserving discipline, however the smallest progress is answering in class. Thedifferences are significant. There aren’t any significant differences between the twogrades, but there are significant differences between boys and girls and also betweendifferent classes.The survey also found the important reason that made students made progress.The most important one is the teacher, then the parents. The sense of identity and thedesire of progress also made important roles. With the growth of the grade, the effect from parents especially teachers has been weakened, however the effect of peers hasbeen enhanced. At the same time, understanding of the models behavior as well as selfwills of each student has been enhanced, too. These results have importantenlightenment for the teacher in primary schools to carry out the “The Little ModelEducation” effectively in future.
