| Scientific reading means the research on the language developing and the thought. It’s the first sub project of the scientific education to develop the Children’s talent. It’s a significant research project for the Ministry of Education in China. Scientific reading is a research and practice on reading for the children in kindergartens and the pupils in junior grades in primary schools. My paper is mainly on the scientific reading for pupils in junior grades.The research on scientific reading is to improve the talent to learn Chinese characters, which means to change the patterns to learn it. Going through fifteen years, hundreds of teachers and schools have taken part in this research. Thousands of students have made great progress in this project. Through the experiments, the students in the experiment classes in Grade Two can know about2,500Chinese characters. The research objective to teach the children within eight years old to read independently has come true. The ability of Chinese has been greatly imposed.The methods used in the research are case study, doing surveys, experience summary and document analysis. Based on the research in the past, it has been greatly enriched. So the constructivism learning view, the educational philosophy based on the students, the theory of Multiple Intelligences, the New Chinese Curriculum Standard and the theory of ecology of education have played the guidance role on the scientific reading. According to the scientific reading classes, it elaborates the teaching material of the scientific reading and how to teach the Chinese characters in class. It also elaborates how to design a class in which the students can learn Chinese characters. Through the research, I have got deep thoughts in scientific reading. In this thesis, it has concluded some useful and concrete methods on scientific reading and character learning, and the influence on Chinese teaching of junior gradesScientific reading has very important in teaching. It has greatly imposed the efficiency and quality of Chinese character learning, which is also good for the thought development. Scientific reading has stimulated the teachers to think about the character teaching, and established the new concept in it. Through this research, I hope it can do some contribution on scientific reading. |
