Children’s Literature is one of the important sectors of the Chinese Education in primary schools. The relationship between Children’s Literature and Chinese Primary Education is very close. But, in practice:the Children’s Literature in primary school course has not fully played its role in Chinese Primary Education and it has been neglected to make a systematic researches on Children’s Literature and Chinese Primary Education.How to fully display the education and entertainment function of Children’s Literature and (how) to increase the value of Children’s Literature in Chinese Primary Education, while improving the quality and efficiency of Chinese teaching in primary schools, has the value of theoretical and practical research value.(This thesis is touching these problems.)This thesis mainly includes3parts-introduction (preface), main parts of thesis and conclusion-and the main parts divides into3chapters.Preface-Simple description of reasons for researching the Chinese teaching of Children’s Literature in primary schools in Jiangsu Province, and the research summary of the topic concerned and the explanation of the researches.The first chapter-The overview of the Children’s Literature teaching in Chinese in primary schools in Jiangsu Province.Firstly, it clarifies the contents, features and classifications of the Children’s Literature. Secondly, it describes the value of the Children’s Literature in primary schools, such as achieving the aim of the Chinese learning course, promoting the comprehensive development of the children and professional development of the teachers, etc. Lastly, it statistically analyzes the Children’s Literature teaching material for Jiangsu Province in primary schools.The second chapter-The survey of Children’s Literature teaching in primary schools in Jiangsu Province.It is done through the questionnaires, analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the Children’s Literature teaching in Jiangsu Province, and is focused on finding the measures to be taken from the education point of view.The third chapter-The practice of Chinese teaching of Children’s Literature in primary schools in Jiangsu Province.First, focusing on the problems (that) found in investigations and analysis of the situation, it proposes some measures to optimize the teaching Children’s Literature, such as seizing children interest, grasping the text features and improving teaching methods to read, teaching reading methods, understanding the context from different angles, encouraging extracurricular readings, and promoting teachers’literature quality etc. Secondly, focusing on the importance of Children’s Literature teaching, it makes some suggestions on selecting Children’s Literature works in Chinese for pupils, such as suiting child psychology, being faithful to the original works as much as possible and the even distributions of selected works, enriching the contents of the works, etc.
