Oral reading and recital are extremely important methods andindispensable parts of our reading teaching throughout our traditional Chineseteaching history. From them,students are enabled to develop a proper understandingof our own language, accumulate language material and learn to use their language toacquire a certain verbal ability.Oral reading and recital play a important role infostering our students’sensibility of oral language, improving their learning ability ofChinese and promoting their Chinese aesthetic education. However,in our primaryschool,the author found that there were still some problems in the teaching of oralreading and recital by doing abundant of investigations.On one hand, teachers don’thave a clear understanding of oral reading and recital teaching. On the other hand,students have no interest in reading, and the quality and quantity of their reading arerelatively poor.Aim at the above mentioned problems, the author thinks that weshould fumble ceaselessly in teaching practice, reform the examinationsystem,improve teacher’s cultivation, strengthen the guidance for students and perfectthe evaluation system so as to improve our reading teaching.
