In recent years, with the further development of China-Thai bilateral relations and exchanges between the two peoples increasingly closed, Chinese teaching has a strong need in Thailand and the international promotion of Chinese language to flourish in Thailand is flourishing. On primary and secondary schools in Thailand, since different regions economic level and the different nature of the school, in terms of teaching resources, the number of people learning Chinese and the level of Chinese courses have a very different arrangement.The public middle school where the author teaching is in the south of Thailand.It is understood, a similar situation that the author school offer Chinese courses as electives appears in a large number of schools, but the status of teaching Chinese as electives is not optimistic.In terms of midlle and high school Chinese elective courses I think we should analyze specific issues on teaching content, teaching strategies, teaching methods, etc.. But now the research related to high school Chinese elective courses is very little and it does not have a more mature and effective modes to learn from in the process of practicing.Therefore,the author took the opportunity of teaching practice in Thailand to find the problem by teaching practice and made some of his own humble opinion, designed to provide a reference for Chinese teachers in Thailand.This paper analyzes the current situation of Chinese elective courses in middle and high school in Thailand and the teaching strategies,and takes the elective courses Chinese of Muang Lang suan school in Chumphon, Thailand where the author have taught Chinese for example to give a overall design.provide teaching cases and draw teaching inspiration.This paper is divided into five chapters altogether. The first chapter describes the origin and significance of the topic, describes the research topics and research methods and list relevant literature review. The second chapter describes the definition and characteristics of Chinese elective courses, followed a brief introduction of Survey of Chinese elective courses in middle and high school of Thiland,conducted by Chinese teachers and students surveys to draw results to analyzes. The third chapter describes the author’s study of teaching strategies of Chinese elective courses in middle and high school from four aspects that is laying a firm foundation of voice when teaching beginners, taking students’interest as a starting point to design flexible teaching activities,attaching importance to teaching and spreading of cultural, maining to cultivate listening ang speaking skills and improving communication ability. The fourth chapter takes the elective courses Chinese of Muang Lang suan school in Chumphon, Thailand where the author have taught Chinese for example to give a overall design, including teaching objects, teaching goals and principles, teaching methods, course type,class arrangements and teaching content. About teaching methods the author provides its own of teaching examples and analysis of teaching effectiveness.At the end of chapter it gives a teaching case in teaching practice of the author. The fifth chapter gives a brief summary of the paper and draw conclusions.The innovation of this paper is that through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of Chinese elective courses in middle and high school of Thiland, taking teaching practice as a case to study effective teaching strategies for Chinese elective courses in middle and high school of Thiland,to design teaching designs, to draw teaching inspiration and to give teaching suggestions to compensate for the gaps and shortcomings of the current study, hoping to attract more Chinese teachers in middle and high school of Thailand to pay more attention to study of Chinese elective courses.
