Inheritance of traditional music culture in China needs to strengthen, the school music education is the heritage of the most fundamental way, we need to improve the effectiveness of inheritance. At present, it is the inheritance of the school classroom music teaching concerns, lack of understanding of present situation of inheritance of extracurricular music activities. In this case, the activities of the junior middle school as the transmission band is a music extra-curricular activities beneficial to the inheritance present situation, research and presentation is very important and necessary.In this paper the characteristics of Pudong New Area folk music in Junior Middle School of Shanghai city as an example, mainly through sampling investigation, the present situation of traditional music culture in junior high school Chinese Orchestra presents. The investigation on the present situation of junior high school, the students of traditional music culture "commitment", mainly using the investigation method of the questionnaire survey on the present situation of junior middle school; the teachers of traditional music culture "biography", the main use of the interview. Investigation of the content of the project mainly revolves "the treatment of traditional music culture spirit", including "traditional music cultural identity", "the sense of belonging of the traditional music culture", "traditional music cultural behavior" and "traditional music culture consciousness of" four dimensions "; and the traditional music culture the skills ontology", including "two dimensions of traditional music culture" and "the use of traditional music culture of knowledge". In addition, the "traditional music culture", "traditional music culture environment" and "the teachers and students in the background of" were investigated, and the influence of them give the inheritance analysis.According to the results of the survey, in a sample of students for the six dimensions of the band "of traditional music culture" is not very ideal, also need to be improved and stable, especially the "knowledge ontology"; the band teacher basically is correct for the transmission of ideas, but sometimes can not be the same with the actual practice of thought; encounter the problem, they can take some measures, but sometimes is affected by some factors, the effectiveness of the measures is not high; most of its heritage awareness is not enough, not enough attention on the identity of the cultivation of students of traditional music culture; they take the way of inheritance and the inheritance effect test method is not comprehensive enough, etc.; in addition, teachers "biography" of students "commitment" to a certain extent, and the background, the inheritance way and environment for teachers’ inheritance also have a certain effect, such as "the band source adequacy", "teacher’s Folk music culture difference".In the last part of this paper based on the results of the analysis of present situation of inheritance, and puts forward some corresponding suggestions, such as the activities of the objective should be to maintain adequate to the folk music culture tradition, the band in "points" and so on, hope to be able to inherit the traditional music culture of junior high school Chinese orchestra play better some help.
