A Study On The Exploitation And Utilization Of STS Curriculum Resources In Junior Middle School In Four Cities Of Nanjing

This article mainly on the basis of reading literature, combining with the implementation of junior middle school biology new curriculum reform in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, according to the status and trend of STS education and the STS curriculum resources development and utilization at home and abroad, makes much investigating and practical research on the development and utilization of the biological STS curriculum resources in the junior middle school, in order to promote the new curriculum reform more effectively.Through this research we can see that there are some problems existing in the development and utilization of biological STS curriculum resources in junior high schools of four city subdivisions of Nanjing.1. Some teachers have fuzzy STS curriculum resources concept, weak consciousness of development and the lack of implementation, which all lead to the consequences that some existing resources are in the idle waste.2. Information resources in junior high school biological STS curriculum resources lack a system of collecting and sorting while the use is relatively common.3. The developed biological STS curriculum resources in junior high school sharing is not satisfactory.To solve the problems above, combining with biology practical teaching situation in junior high schools, the author puts forward some suggestions, hope to promote the development and utilization of junior high school biological STS curriculum resources.1.Broaden the sources of the development of STS curriculum resources to realize the multi-way development from the school level.2. Improve teachers’ biological science literacy and the capacity of developing and utilizing biological STS curriculum resources.3. Collect the STS curriculum resources and establish, perfect curriculum resource package.
