Research On The Optimization Of Full - Time Master Of Physical Education In Shandong Province

In2009, China launched full-time professional degree education and aimed atclassified education in order to optimize the academic degree structure. Until now,four universities in Shandong recruit full-time master of physical education, includingthree specialties which are physical education, sports coaching and direction of socialsports. However, every university is still exploring the way of educating master ofphysical education because of the late start. Although the education attracts a lot offocus recent years, the quality of the education still has a long way to go. This articleinvestigates the current situation of full-time physical education in Shandong usingliterature material law, questionnaire method and interviewing method, finds out andanalyzes the issues of full-time physical education, provides related solution,promotes the education quality. The research results indicate:1At present, the education goal now is formulated based on the related documents ofMinistry of Education and policies and regulations in China. Although there aredifferences among curriculums setting of the four universities, the goals are generaland similar.2The curriculums of full-time master of physical education include general courses,professional core courses and elective courses. The four universities have the similargeneral courses and professional core courses, the setting is consistent with the plan ofthe state department. The quantity and categories of elective courses are quitedifferent, the four universities own their characteristic disciplines according to theirteachers and facilities.From the aspect of students’ satisfactory with courses, university students arequite satisfied with the curriculum setting. However, they have different satisfactorydegree with the professional core courses. Among all the students of physicaleducation in Shandong, the ones from Lu Dong University have the highestsatisfaction with professional courses, while the ones from Shandong SportsUniversity have the lowest satisfaction. Among the students of physical coaching, theones from Shandong Normal University and Lu Dong University both have high satisfaction with professional courses, while the ones from Shandong SportsUniversity and Qufu Normal University have lower satisfaction. Most students ofsocial sport major from Shandong Sports University and Qufu Normal University aresatisfied with the professional courses.3The four universities all value the practice teaching of physical education master,but there’re a lot of problems existed in guidance and management of practiceteaching. For example, the teaching practice units aren’t appropriate according to theeducation direction; the master of physical education didn’t spend enough time onparticipating practice according to the education requirements; during the practiceprogress and after that, the universities didn’t take the place of actual supervision.4Most tutors of physical education master own master degree, from this aspect, thequality of tutors needs to be improved. In terms of the meeting, the students and theirtutors meet each other one to three times every month. The highest number ofstudents each tutor guides is three to four, it is quite reasonable from this aspect.5The masters of physical education extensively lack scientific research consciousnessand enthusiasm towards scientific research activities. Most of students have lowenthusiasm to writing essays and participating activities. Their ultimate aims arecompleting the missions arranged by the university. Besides, academic dissertationslack innovation, and the form of professional paper and academic paper is the same,while this isn’t consistent with the demands in education program. Furthermore, thepaper published during the study period is undesirable, the capacity of scientificresearch is low and hasn’t been developed...
