As a keyword of the current science curriculum reform, scientific literacy implies the pursuit of the overall development of students and science education for all. Improving all students’scientific literacy is an important objective of the senior school physics curriculum reform in our country. And it is of great theoretical and practical significance to research whether physics textbooks can well reflect the physical textbook science literacy goals, as physics textbooks are the most basic resources for the physics curriculum. To begin with, this thesis summarizes the domestic and foreign research results about the standards and scientific literacy theme in the physics textbooks through the literature review. Based on the current situation of the high school physics textbook in our country, the author constructs a scientific and reasonable index system to evaluate the scientific literacy theme of the physics curriculum standards and the physics textbooks. The author divides the scientific literacy into four themes: scientific knowledge, the scientific inquiry process, cognitive science approach, and the interaction among science, technique, society, environment and human. Taking advantage of this evaluation index system, the author analyses the distribution of the scientific literacy theme in the physics curriculum standards and the threeversions of physics textbooks for senior high school. The study finds that there are some differences between the three versions of high school physics textbooks and the curriculum standard in the distribution of four scientific literacy themes. And the result shows that there exists difference in the aspect of the proportion and the sequence in the three themes:scientific inquiry process, the cognitive science approach, and the interaction among science, technique, society, environment and human. In terms of curriculum balance, through the comparison of the three versions of physics textbooks:the PEP (People’s Education Press) edition, the Shandong edition, and the Shanghai edition, the research indicates that the distribution of scientific literacy themes of Shandong edition is the closest to that of the curriculum standard. In addition, in the five second level knowledge modules in the compulsory part, the first three modules:the description of the motion, the interaction and law of motion, and the mechanical energy and energy are better than the latter two modules: projectile motion and circling motion and the achievements and limitations of the classical mechanics in terms of the curriculum balance. To achieve the curriculum goals better and to improve the students’ scientific literacy effectively, this thesis puts forward three suggestions:1. Pay attention to the balance of scientific literacy in the design of the curriculum;2. Improve the unbalanced development of the scientific literacy themes;3. Physics teachers should strengthen the reconstructive capability for physics textbooks;...
