The Father, as the caregiver and educator who plays an important role inchildren’s development, exerts irreplaceable influence on children’s physical andmental health. This kind of influence is not only confined to the early familyeducation, but also effective after children entering the kindergarten.Based on the analysis of the related research results at home and abroad, and thereality of fathers involving in family-kindergarten cooperation, the paper probes intothe problems existed in family cooperation and analyzes the influencing factors. Andthe paper provides the advice and guidance to promote fathers to participate in family-kindergarten cooperation, so as to improve fathers’ participation and give full play tofathers’ positive role to children’s development. Adopting the questionnaire surveymethod and the interview method, this paper conducts its study from the followingfive aspects: fathers’ understanding of family-kindergarten cooperation, participatingfrequency, the content, method, and factors hampering fathers’involvement.The basic framework of this paper is as follows:The first part: Introduction, including the reasons of selecting this topic reason,the related studies on father involving in children’s upbringing andfamily-kindergarten cooperation, the definition of core concepts, and the researchpurpose, significance as well as research methods.The second part: This part makes value analysis on the fathers’ participationfrom the following three aspects: Whether it is helpful for children’s physical andmental health, whether it is advantageous to the construction of harmonious family,whether it is benefit for the kindergarten work.The third part: Through the analysis of the questionnaires for fathers and thegeneralizations of interviews with teachers, this part illustrates the current situation offathers’ participation and analyses reasons for the existing problems. The study hasfound that there are several problems lie in fathers’ participation: firstly, the fathers’involvement in family-kindergarten is of low frequency and the ways for participationare rare, and the ability of fathers’ involvement is poor. Secondly, the kindergartens’ inadequate work on fathers’participation.
