Political education in secondary school is an important subject to offer quality education for students, which is related to the cultivation of moral, psychological and other aspects. Political education in middle school is mainly divided into ideological and moral education in middle school and ideological and political education in senior High School. The former is to teach students how to behave during the critical period of their development,based on which the latter is to develop students’correct overlooks on the world, life and values and other political qualities.The two parts mentioned above are mainly taught in the examination-oriented education environment, in which teachers inevitably cram the students and students study mainly by reciting, which is not conforms to the training purpose of political education in secondary school. The emotional factors, which are the critical factor impacted the educational effect is ignored in the teaching process, which leads to indoctrination and mechanical memorizing. Political education in secondary schools has unique characteristics (which are theoretical, logical, operational difficulties, etc.), for which it is a hard task for teachers and students to teach and learn well. The supply of the emotional factors can change and decompose these features, so that the teaching effectiveness can be improved by activating students in class. Therefore, it makes sense to study the application of the emotional factors to improve the political education of the secondary school.In this thesis, emotional factors applied in the political class in the secondary school are studied, which is mainly about how to apply emotional factors to enhance the teaching effect. This thesis is divided into the following parts.The first part is the introduction, discussed the significance of this research, research methods of this study.In the second part, the current research status and the principles of emotional factors supplied in the teaching process are described, including related concepts and theories of emotional factors together with unique characteristics of emotional factors in the political class in secondary school.In the third part, bases and effect on emotional factors applied in the political class in secondary school are stated. Three theoretical bases are Marxist philosophy, education, educational psychology. Besides, under the social environment, emotional factors applied in the students’ own development process are stated as the realistic foundation. Moreover, the positive role emotional factors played on the students, teachers and teaching effectiveness are discussed.In the fourth part, how to improve political teaching in the secondary school by applying emotional factors is put forward. Means of improving the teaching effectiveness of political teaching in the secondary school with the help of emotional factors are explained form the following three main roles of the teaching, teachers, students and the school.
